Wilbur Harry Leitch
<pre class="aLF-aPX-K0-aPE aLF-aPX-aLK-ayr-auR">Harry Leitch, age 91 of Harrisburg, passed away at 6:31 PM, Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.
He was born on December 1, 1923 in Raleigh, Illinois, to the late Wilbur Henry and Zola (Weaver) Leitch.. Harry married Francis Juanita "Susie" Stricklin on January 15, 1947 and she survives. Harry was a claims adjustor for Country Companies and a farmer. He was also a member of the Egyptian Shrine Club, Raleigh Masonic Lodge, and Harrisburg First Baptist Church. He was a World War II Army Veteran and a member of the Eldorado American Legion.
In addition to his wife Susie, Harry is survived by a daughter, Lisa and husband Gary Benton of Newburgh, IN; daughter: Holly and husband Fred Gillespie of Houston, TX; 2 grandchildren: Torie Leigh Benton and Sydney Dixon Gillespie both of Houston; several nieces and nephews including a special niece: Margaret "Meg" Justice of Harrisburg and a special caregiver: Michele Gaines of Eldorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sisters: Marjorie Justice and Joan Balling.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Rev. Chris Winkleman will officiate assisted by Bro. Darrell Eisenhauer. Burial will follow in Cottage Grove Cemetery with Military Rite by the Eldorado American Legion, and Army National Guard. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with Masonic Rites at 7 PM by the Raleigh Masonic Lodge. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Childrens Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
