Easter egg hunts Saturday in Du Quoin and Pinckneyville
The 2013 Du Quoin Community Easter egg hunt will be held Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds.
Age groups are 1-3 years, 4-6 years and 7-9 years. Prizes for each age group will be given away. In case of rain the event will move to the Expo Hall.
The annual hunt is sponsored by the Du Quoin Jaycees, Du Quoin American Legion Riders Post 647 and Preceptor Alpha Eta Sorority.
The Pinckneyville Optimist Club will again sponsor the annual Easter egg hunt for youngsters, ages 2-8 at the Pinckneyville Fairgrounds near the grandstand.
Parents and participants are reminded that the hunt will take place starting at 10 a, m. on Saturday, March 30.
Eager hunters will be searching for candy eggs, plastic eggs filled with candy and money and other surprises. Bicycles will also be given away to lucky youngsters for each age group.
The hunting areas will be separated into three sections: one for ages 2-3, one for ages 4-5, and one for ages 6-8.
The Easter Bunny is expected to be present and available for pictures with the kids.
