Keck's Exclusives: General Hospital Celebrates Its Golden Anniversary
The biggest news from the Paley Center for Media panel " General Hospital : Celebrating 50 Years and Looking Forward," which I moderated on April 12: Anthony Geary (Luke Spencer) will be writing a tell-all book. Among the topics he'll cover "after about three more people die" will be his love affair with Elizabeth Taylor, who guest starred on the soap in 1981. After the panel, Geary also told me about another GH actress with whom he had a relationship in the '80s.
During the laugh-filled hour, the panelists reflected on the show's most powerful storylines (Robin's HIV diagnosis, B.J.'s heart transplant), shared memories of beloved veterans who passed away and honored the widow and daughter of John Beradino, who played Dr. Steve Hardy from 1963 to 1996. Here's to 50 more years!
