Fifty Shades of Grey Movie Gets a Release Date

Fifty Shades of Grey might not have a cast, but it does have a release date!

The film will open on Friday, Aug. 1, 2014 in North America, with worldwide dates still to be announced.

In the 50 Shades of Grey series, which has sold more than 70 million copies, a 21-year-old college senior, Anastasia, begins a relationship with an older business man, Christian.

Sam Taylor-Johnson ( Nowhere Boy ) was recently selected to direct the highly anticipated movie adaptation. Kelly Marcel ( Terra Nova ) wrote the script.
