Sean Sasser, whose commitment ceremony to Real World star Pedro Zamora was a TV first, has died. He was 44.
Judd Winick, who also appeared on The Real World: San Francisco, announced the news via Twitter Tuesday night. "Our friend Sean Sasser has died," he posted. "Our love goes out to his family & husband Michael. We will miss u so much."

Sasser, an AIDS activist who was HIV positive, died of mesothelioma, a form of lung cancer that affects people with weakened immune systems, according to Queerty .
Sasser and Zamora's commitment ceremony was televised on MTV in 1994. Zamora died later that year due to complications from AIDS.
