Exclusive: CW's Web Series Husbands Adds Cast Members from True Blood, CollegeHumor

True Blood alum Janina Gavankar is joining the cast of The CW's web seriesHusbands, TVGuide.com has learned.

She'll join Elaine Carroll, the creator of College Humor's Mary-Kate Olsen satireVery Mary Kate in playing "odd, modern incarnations of suburban sitcom archetypes," according to Husbands showrunner Brad Bell. The show is about a gay couple who accidentally gets married after just six weeks of dating and later moves to the suburbs.

Gavankar, who played Luna Garza on True Blood, will play "something of a trophy wife, but we get the impression maybe she murdered someone to get that title," according to Bell. Carroll, whom Bell describes as "a master of rapid banter," also has a few tricks up her sleeve.

Husbands' third season debuts on Thursday, Aug. 15 as part of the CW's launch of new original comedy programming on CW Seed.
