Jason Ritter Returning to Parenthood

Jason Ritter will return to Parenthood for at least one episode this season, TVLine reports.

The actor will reprise his role as Mark Cyr, Sarah's (Lauren Graham) ex-boyfriend, in Episode 19, airing April 24. In the episode, Mark will run into someone, though not necessarily Sarah.

Surprising celebrity family ties

Ritter was last seen in Season 4, when Sarah chose Hank (Ray Romano) over him.

Since Parenthood, Ritter moved on to Fox's upcoming comedy Us & Them, which co-stars Graham's Gilmore Girls daughter Alexis Bledel. Last month, Fox shut down production on the comedy after completing production on only six episodes, plus the pilot.

Parenthood airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on NBC.
