Stunt driving causes Chester Bridge accident
<span>A Chester man has been cited after a Sunday evening accident on the Chester Bridge appeared to involve stunt driving.</span>
<span>According to a news release from the Chester Police Department, 22-year-old Rhett D. Holley, of Chester, has been cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating a motorcycle on one wheel and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.</span>
<span>In speaking with witnesses, the CPD was able to determine Holley, who was driving a 2008 Yamaha R, was traveling westbound onto the Chester Bridge when he accelerated and pulled the motorcycle up on to the rear wheel to pass another westbound passenger vehicle.</span>
<span>When Holley pulled the motorcycle into the eastbound lane, he lost control of the machine and struck the south side bridge rail with the impact throwing Holley from the motorcycle.</span>
<span>Holley sustained only cuts and scratches in the accident and refused medical treatment at the scene. He was able to upright the motorcycle and push it back to the Chester Welcome Center parking lot.</span>
