Sheriff's Office arrests woman on burglary charges
<span>In a Tuesday news release from the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Shannon Wolff stated his agency had recently arrested 38-year-old Jennifer K. Knight, of Red Bud, on charges of residential burglary and petition to revoke probation.</span>
<span>The arrest was made on March 17. Knight's bond was set at $40,000.</span>
<span>According to the release, Knight was a suspect in multiple residential burglaries in the Prairie du Rocher and Modoc areas dating back to 2013 and allegedly admitted her involvement in at least nine of them.</span>
<span>"We had a lot of victims and we were glad we were able to get them some closure on this," Wolff told the Herald Tribune in a phone interview. "We're hoping to possibly be able to solve a few more (burglaries) down the road here."</span>
<span>Wolff stated his office has recovered stolen items during the investigation.</span>
<span>The Sheriff's Office is also requesting the assistance of the public in the continuing investigation. Wolff stated his office has identified four bracelets, a Kindle Tablet and a Sony camcorder sold by the suspect.</span>

<span>In the release, Wolff expressed his thanks to the Waterloo Police Department, Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Randolph County State's Attorney's Office, Prairie Du Rocher Police Department and concerned citizens for their assistance in the investigation.</span>
<span>He also encourages the public to contact his office to report any suspicious activity.</span>
