</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Tech. Sgt. (Ret.) Donald Veatch, 70, of Mount Vernon, formerly of McLeansboro, died 12:05 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital, Mount Vernon.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery with graveside military rites by American Legion Post No. 106, McLeansboro. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at the funeral home.
