Walter Russell Elam

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Walter Russell Elam, 66, Eldorado, died 8:10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008 at his residence.

Mr. Elam has been cremated per his wishes. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Gaskins-Jones Funeral Home in Harrisburg is in charge of the arrangements.

He was born Jan. 29, 1942 in Delwood to Walter and Edith (Fulgum) Elam. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. He was a retired tech at Harrisburg Medical Center and a member of Harvest Deliverance Center.

He is survived by a son, Stephen Russell (Rosemary) Elam of West Frankfort; grandchildren, Seth and Haley Elam of West Frankfort; a sister, Barbara Barns of Eldorado; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Elam; and three sisters, JoAnn Price, Dorothy Elam and Lavern Kingston.
