Donald K. Bartley

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Donald K. Bartley, 70, of Carmi, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at his residence in Carmi.

He was born July 23, 1938, in White County, the son of Henry Franklin and Essie May (Ellison) Bartley. He married Daphne Ellene (James) Fulkerson on April 2, 1979. He attended the Eastside Pentecost Church. He had worked in the oil field and for Herald Township.

Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Daphne Bartley of Carmi; a son, Eddie Bartley of Carmi; two stepdaughters, Darlene and husband Thomas Sparrow of Ridgway and Beverly and husband Allen Stricklin of Norris City; a stepson, Dale and wife Janice Fulkerson of Enfield; a sister, Betty Page of Carmi; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Raymond and Ruby Bartley of Carmi and Henry Bartley of Norris City; two granddaughters, four stepgrandchildren; and four great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Stroud.

Funeral services for Donald Bartley, 70, of Carmi, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with the Rev. William Jackson and the Rev. Herbert Vinyard officiating. Burial will be at Union Ridge Cemetery near Norris City. Friends may call from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at the funeral home.
