Herbert Glen Bynum

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Herbert Glen Bynum, 76, of Memphis, Tenn., passed away at 1:40 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 in Memphis, Tenn.

He was born Nov. 15, 1932, in Carrier Mills to the late George and Myrtle (Absher) Bynum. He married the former Elvera White who survives.

He was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces, serving during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his wife, Herbert is survived by five children, Randy Bynum of Stonefort, Elizabeth Cooley of Eldorado, Cynthia Pulliam of Eldorado, Kern Bynum of Eldorado and Andrew Bynum of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Lloyd Bynum and Maurie Bynum; 10 grandchildren, Cody and Blake Bynum, Amy, Catlin and Gabe Cooley, Brianna, Connor and Alyssa Pulliam, C.J. Horton, Bailey Bynum; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Leo Bynum; and three brothers, Harold, Bill Joe and Freddie Wayne Bynum.

Services were held in Lexington, Tenn., Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, with burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery with Dr. Hoyt Wilson officiating. The information is provided by Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado.
