</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Billie Elaine Overton, 77, of Galatia, formerly of Ridgway, passed away at 10:54 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg.

She was born in Ridgway on July 7, 1931, to John and Allie Pearl (Moye) Rister. Billie was married to William Andrew Overton on Jan. 18, 1947.

She worked for Grundy Nursing Home as a certified public acccountant in Morris and she was a member of Ridgway First Baptist Church in Ridgway.

Billie is survived by her husband, William of Galatia; three daughters, Pamela and Duane Schoffstoll of Joliet, Rebecca Ann and Terry Wright of Evansville, Ind. and Ali Jo and Van Holman of Wilmington; two sons, Randy Morris and Cathy Overton of Morris, William Perry and Holly Overton of Kingston, Wash.; one brother, Landis Rister of Eldorado; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Laura Fern Garrison and Mary Hilda Schmitt; and two brothers, Victor and Joe Rister.

Visitation for Billie will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, with the Rev. Rob Gallion. Burial will follow the funeral service at Jackson Cemetery near Ridgway.
