The Rev. Russell Monroe

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Rev. Russell Monroe, 82, of rural Dahlgren, died 7:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center, McLeansboro.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at First Baptist Church in McLeansboro with the Rev. Steve Hamson and the Rev. Mark Byars officiating. Burial will be in Garrison Cemetery near Aden. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at the church. Arrangements are in the charge of Gholson Funeral Home, McLeansboro.

He is survived by his wife, the former Lutitia Whipple; a son; a daughter and son-in-law; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
