Janet R. Dietz

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Janet R. Dietz, 69, of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, surrounded by her family after an extended illness.

Janet was born in Ridgway on May 14, 1939, to the late John and Rosalia (Schmidtt) Baker. She was a retired correctional officer for the State of Illinois.

She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ridgway. She was a good mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by the community.

Janet is survived by three sons, Jeff and Donna Milligan of Harrisburg, Dirk Milligan of Harrisburg and Terry and Myra Milligan of Lincoln; and a daughter, Nancy Williams and her companion, Terry Wilson of Ridgway. She is also survived by a brother, Don Baker of Corpus Christi, Texas, along with 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Crystal Richmond; a grandson, Jordan Friend; a brother, William Baker; and sister, Agnes Hart.

There will be a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Ridgway followed that evening by a prayer service with Fr. Mark Stec. According to Janet's wishes she will then be cremated and her ashes will be interred at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Equality at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2009.
