Charles 'Chick' J. Bowers

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Charles "Chick" J. Bowers, 90, of rural McLeansboro, died 6:15 a.m. Sunday, April 12, 2009, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital, McLeansboro.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with graveside military rites by American Legion Post No. 106. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at the funeral home.

He was the widower of Lula Mae Abbott and Joyce Ann Cox Wheeler. He is survived by three sons, three daughters-in-law, four daughters, three sons-in-law, four brothers and sisters, 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 37 great-great-grandchildren.
