John Allen Fetcho

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[John Allen Fetcho, 76, longtime resident of Eldorado, died on Monday, April 20, 2009, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 1, 1932, in Independence, Mo., to George Fetcho and Mable Luther.

John was proud to be an American. He served his country during the Korean War in the Army Security Agency. John attended college at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and University of Illinois in engineering. He had work experience at McDonnell-Douglas and then returned home to work with the family business, Barton Auto Supply, as manager-owner.

He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Eldorado.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Joyce Barton Fetcho. They were married for 54 years on April 2, 1955. He has two daughters, Janet L. Reed of Evansville, Ind. and Janice L. Fetcho of O'Fallon; and two granddaughters, Jennifer (Michael Wallace) and Jessica Reed.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with Randy Plunkett officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery with military rites. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church youth group.
