</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Edna Brennan Cobb, 92, of Johnston City, passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at the Fountains Nursing Home Care Facility in Marion.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009, at the Murman and Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Sr. Catherine Wellinghoff officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Edna was born on Aug. 14, 1916, in Johnston City the daughter of Andrew Lee and Grace (Cargal) Brennan. She married Wilbur Lee Cobb in 1941. He preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1979.

She is survived by two sisters, Juanita Short of Marion and Beverly Trammel and husband Gary of Harrisburg; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her special care giver Brenda Litton and husband Ronnie of Johnston City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Harold and Wayne.

She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, caregiver, homemaker and friend. She worked for many years for the federal government in the Atomic Energy Commission as a secretary and security officer before retiring and moving back to Johnston City to care for her mother, father and brother. She was listed in Who's Who of Professional People. She was very proud of this accomplishment.

Edna had many interests in life. She loved cooking, collecting cook books, music and was a collector of dolls and toys which she delighted in showing her nieces and nephews. She was a loving friend and a great listener to other people's problems. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
