Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Mahaffey

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Mahaffey, 65, of Eldorado, passed away at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Ferrell Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was the wife of Dennis Mahaffey, who survives. They were married Nov 25, 1961, in Eldorado.

Elizabeth was born in Eldorado on Feb. 18, 1944, the daughter of the late T.J. and Mildred Lee (Hafford) Dillard.

She was a member of Star General Baptist Church. She worked as a clerk in the medical supplies department at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.

Elizabeth is survived by two daughters, Julie (Scott) Boyd of Eldorado and Denise Maloney of Eldorado. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Cristin Weir, Casey Jo Maloney, Tyler Maloney and Lucas Weir. Elizabeth is also survived by a sister, Mary Diefenbach of Eldorado; a brother, Tom (Pat) Dillard of Carterville; and two sisters-in-law, Donna Mahaffey of Chicago and Jacquie Coffee of Chicago.

Funeral services will be held at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, with the Rev. Earl Vaughn and the Rev. Kenny Burns officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home.
