Bessie Lee Clark

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Bessie Lee Clark, 88, of Libertyville, and formerly of Gallatin County, died Friday, July 24, 2009.

Bessie was born in Ridgway on Dec. 5, 1920, to the late Frank and May (Bradley) Frier. She was married to Lawrence Clark, who preceded her in death in 1998.

She worked at Abbot Laboratories until 1960. She was a homemaker, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a Baptist by faith.

Bessie is survived by a son, Donald (Barbara) Clark of North Chicago; and a granddaughter, Kathy Clark-O'Gara of California.

Graveside services for Bessie will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at the Westwood Cemetery in Shawneetown. The Rev. Jack Hall will be officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Cox and Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown.
