Mota C. Yates
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mrs. Mota C. Yates, 87, of Eldorado passed away 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at her residence.
She was the wife of Kenneth Yates, who survives.
Mota was born in Eldorado on Jan. 22, 1922, the daughter of the late Jess B. and Lily Mae (Griffin) Lassater.
She was a homemaker and worked several other jobs throughout the years, of which one of her favorites was Nave's Greenhouse in the 1960s.
In addition to her husband, Mota is survived by three daughters, Kim (Bob) Young of Galveston, Texas, Julie Miller of Novato, Calif., and Patsy Jones of Eldorado; a son, Clancy (Charlotte) Doerr of Eldorado; and seven grandchildren, James, Kay, Eddie, Dustin, Sandra, Tara and Tim.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a one grandson, Robin; and a brother, Charles Lassater.
Funeral services will be held at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home, Eldorado, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, with Jack Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in Dodd Cemetery in Eldorado.
Friends may call 11 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
