</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mark Ray Williams, 40, formerly of Harrisburg, died on Sept. 25, 2009, at his residence.

A memorial service will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare.

Mark was born on Sept. 24, 1969, in Carmi. He was the son of Gary Ray "Red" Williams of Hardin County and his mother, Ruth Doran of Paducah, Ky., who survived him.

Mark had been involved in motorcross and 4X4 races for years, as well as a semi driver all of his adult life.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his father, Gary Ray Williams; and grandparents, Delmar and Dosha Williams of Eldorado.

Survivors include his children, Brayden Ray Williams and Johnathan Ray Williams both of Harrisburg. Mark had two older sisters, Deborah K. Barger (wife of Joey L. Barger) of Elizabethtown, and Dianna S. Street of Harrisburg; a niece, Katherine N. Young (husband Gary Wayne) of Haileyville, Okla., and their sons Gavin and Grady Young; as well as two nephews, Christopher M. Lovellette and wife Ellie of Wilsonville and Justin B. King of Harrisburg. He also had many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends that will miss him as well.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family to defray funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated. He will truly be missed.
