Mildred E. Nichols Pease

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mildred E. Nichols Pease, 79, Harrisburg, died 4:38 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at Select Specialty Hospital, Evansville, Ind.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at Whitsell Funeral Home, Morganfield, Ky., with the Rev. Greg Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Morganfield, Ky. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, and 11 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherri Gwaltney of Norris City and Rose Hess of Morganfield, Ky.; two sons, John Courtney of Evansville, Ind. and Rick Wayne of Harrisburg; two stepsons, Roger Dale Courtney of Evansville, Ind. and James Richard Courtney of Ohio; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlan and Rose Stone Nichols; husband, John Richard Courtney; and four sons, Billy Steve Cowan, Gale Bruce Cowan, Jerry Allen Buchanan and Dale Wayne Courtney.
