Nellie Gogue

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Nellie Gogue, 90, of Steger, passed away at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, in the St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights.

She was born Feb. 9, 1919, in Parma, Mo., to John and Bessie (Bradley) Thompson. She married Clarence Gogue on July 3, 1944, and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2008.

She is survived by four children, a son, Charles (Barbara) Jackson of Mission Viejo, Calif.; three daughters, Phyllis (Roy) Schmidt of Steger, Doris Hoover (Charles Sumners) of Chicago Heights and Brenda Boreman of Steger. There are 18 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Many family members and friends who will miss her very much.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at the funeral home. The Rev. John Howat will officiate with burial in the Bethel Cemetery west of Harco.
