Jonathan Astor Wallace
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Jonathan Astor Wallace, 93, Carrier Mills, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away at 3:31 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home.
Jonathan was born on Feb. 23, 1916, to the late Courtland and Nellie (Hancock) Wallace in Saline County. He married Della Haney on May 30, 1986, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 24, 2008. Jonathan was a member of the New Castle Baptist Church and he was a World War II Army veteran.
Jonathan is survived by three daughters, Ruth Vigo of Manchester, Mich., Brenda Stuehling of Amelia Island, Fla. and Wanda Frentner of Plymouth, Mich.; a stepson, William Bean of Equality; a sister, Marie Hale of Harrisburg; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Della; stepdaughter, Shirley Berkel; and five brothers, Kenneth, Donald, Troy, Courtland and Paul Wallace.
Jonathan's body has been cremated and no services have been planned. Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg is in charge of arrangements.
