</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Jewell I. Melcher, 88, Pope County, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2010, at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare. Burial will be in Fluorine Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.

She was the widow of Shelby Odell Curnel, Cyril V. Smith and William H. Melcher. She is survived by a daughter, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
