Nadine Garrett
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Nadine Garrett, 77, 2310 Saline Ave., Eldorado, formerly of the Omaha-Cottonwood area, died noon Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, Marion.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2010, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Randy Plunkett and Jack Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010, at the funeral home.
She was born May 3, 1932, in Hazard, Ky. to Vincent Hurt and Myrtis Harvey. In 1951, she married Yuel L. Garrett, who preceded her in death in 1995.
She retired from Gallatin County schools, where she had been a janitor.
She is survived by a son, Kevin (Jeannie) Garrett of Colorado; a daughter, Sheila (Keith) Baird of Eldorado; a brother, Freeman (Sue) Hurt of Mississippi; two sisters, Wilma (Bob) Beitzel of Arkansas and Katherine Sundberg of Arizona; a grandchild, Garrett Clark; two great-grandchildren, Shelby and Hannah Clark; five stepgrandchildren; and six great-stepgrandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Treman Hurt, James Hurt and Taylor Hurt.
