Larry Lee Gulley

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Larry Lee Gulley, 71, East Walnut Street, Carrier Mills, died 9:43 a.m. Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, Ind.

He was born May 14, 1938, in Saline County to Roy and Elma Horton Gulley. He married the former Peggy Rice on June 6, 1964.

He was a retired coal miner.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Gulley of Carrier Mills; four sons, Tim (Angela) Gulley of Carrier Mills, Steve (Tracy) Mitchell of Carrier Mills, Kevin Mitchell of Carrier Mills and Jeff Mitchell of Louisville, Ky.; a daughter, Kim Oliver of Carrier Mills; a brother, Jerry "Tub" (Brenda) Gulley of Harrisburg; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one soon-to-be.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wendell Gulley and Denzel "Popcorn" Gulley; and four sisters, Gertie McClusky, Novetta Clarke, Mildred Pate and Norma Diefenbach.

Visitation is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Harl Cockrum officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Carrier Mills.
