</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Paul Davis, 81, 1815 State St., Eldorado, died 7:20 p.m. Sunday, May 30, 2010, at Fountain View Nursing Home, Eldorado.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Russell Helton officiating. Burial will be in Lindale Cemetery, Eldorado, with military rites. Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
He was born Aug. 14, 1928, in Eldorado to Vachel and Emaline (Bennett) Davis. He is survived by his wife, the former Norma Clarida of Eldorado.
He was a member of the American Legion and VFW, retired from the Illinois Department of Mines and Minerals and was a Navy veteran. He was a member of the International Society of Explosive Engineers and Kentucky Society of Explosive Engineers.
In addition to his wife, Norma Davis of Eldorado, he is survived by brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Glenn and Rina Clarida of Marion; niece, Deborah Saathoff of Plano, Texas; nephews, Daryl Clarida of Atlanta, Ga., and Doug Clarida; and a cousin, Edsel Bucovac of Memphis, Tenn.
