Elva P. Hagan

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Elva P. Hagan, 88, of 370 Hagan Road, Eldorado, died Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

She was born in Benton on Sept. 1, 1921, to the late Raymond and Bessie (Reed) Jennings. She was a homemaker. On Jan. 12, 1938, she was married to Charles Oral Hagan, who preceded her in death on April 18, 1998. She was a member of Star General Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Chuck (Judy) Varner of Norris City, Mrs. Leland (Elaine) Lloyd of Spring Hill, Fla., and Mrs. G.A. (Myra) Henson of Harrisburg. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Greg Varner, Kim Bratton, Meredith Lamp, Jamie Mitchell, Hillary Henson, Gabe Henson, Sarah Lloyd, Rachel Paolella and Joshua Lloyd; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sharon Dean; five brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral services for Elva Hagan will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Star General Baptist Church with Aaron Phelps and Greg Varner officiating. Burial will be in Raleigh Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2010, at the Watson Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the church. Watson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
