Maurice L. Oglesby
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Maurice L. Oglesby, 84, of Evansville, Ind., passed away on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Deaconess Hospital. He was born March 11, 1926, in Webster County, Ky.
Maurice worked at Sigeco for 41 years before retiring in 1991. He was a member of the American Legion and a 50-year member of the IBEW. He enjoyed going to Reitz High School football games for over 60 years. He was very involved at the First Presbyterian Church, where he was a member for 58 years, serving as an usher captain and deacon. He was very devoted to his wife, Marjorie and his family.
Maurice is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marjorie; daughters, Sherry Patton and Michelle Haywood (Jeff); son, Thomas Oglesby; sister, Louise Nisbet (Charles); three grandchildren, Kerry Fleeger, Ryan Patton and Laura Haywood; and a great-grandchild, Kylene Fleeger.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010, at First Presbyterian Church, 609 S. E. Second St., Evansville, Ind., officiated by the Rev. Kevin Fleming. Friends may visit from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at Alexander West Chapel.
