</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Eugene Gibson, 93, Herod, died 2:31 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Visitation is noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at Reed Funeral Chapel, Harrisburg.

He was the widower of the former Martha Lu Phillips. Eugene is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
