Mary J. Jones

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary J. Jones, 93, of West Frankfort, passed away 5:33 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at her residence.

She was born January 15, 1918, in Linton, Ind., to John Ulicni and Mary (Guspan) Ulicni. She married Frank Jones, who preceded her in death May 6, 2006.

Mary is survived by a sister, Anne Germaine of Oak Park, Mich.; and by nieces and nephews, Mark, David and John Germaine, Diane Ulicni, Ronald Ulicni, Nancy Speaks, Judy Winder, Peggy Mangiaforte, Sue Robinson, Cathy Cosby, Jeff Jones, Dan Jones and Marilyn Sykes; and several great- nieces and -nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Frank; three brothers, John, Joe and Michael Ulicni; and three nephews, John and Michael Ulicni and David Jones.

Mary was a member of the St. John&#39;s Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Society. She and her husband Frank were the owners and operators of the West Frankfort Meat Packing Company in West Frankfort for many years. Mary also enjoyed playing pinochle with her friends and family.

The family would like to thank Mary&#39;s caregivers, Shirley Davis, Betty Bruce, Kendra Murphy and Darla Barnes, for all their loving care and concern.

A funeral mass was held 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at St. John&#39;s Catholic Church in West Frankfort with Father Joseph Trapp officiating. Burial was in the Hebron Cemetery near Walpole. Visitation was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home with a prayer service at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John&#39;s Catholic School and will be accepted at the funeral home.
