Thelma Mae Weaver

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Thelma Mae Weaver, 87, Harrisburg, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at Ridgway Manor, Ridgway.

Thelma was born on May 26, 1923, in Harrisburg, the daughter of Joseph and Hattie (Tarrant) Odum. She married Arthur Reuben Weaver on April 27, 1941, and he survives.

Thelma was a homemaker and assisted her husband in his appliance-repair business. She was a member of McKinley Avenue Baptist Church and was an avid gardener who loved raising her flowers.

Thelma is survived by her husband, Art Weaver of Harrisburg; grandson, James Weaver of Oregon; granddaughter, Amy Pollari of Norfolk, Va.; three great-grandchildren, Krista Linn, Cameron Pollari and Grayson Pollari; two sisters, Opal and Ruby Odum, both of Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jerry Weaver; grandson, Terry Weaver; two brothers, Walter and Joe Odum; four sisters, Nadine, Dee, Frieda and Edna; and her niece, Sandy Schubert.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with the Rev. Roger Lipe officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to service time Monday at Reed Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to McKinley Avenue Baptist Church; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
