Obituary: Wilma (Partain) Bennett

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Wilma (Partain) Bennett, 81, of Harrisburg, passed away at 3:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at her residence in Harrisburg.

She was born on Dec. 29, 1929, in Saline County to the late Willie and Gertrude (Osman) Partain. She married Jesse Bennett and he preceded her in death in 1979. She loved to travel and crochet.

Surviving family members include her sister, Vivian Price and husband Charles of Harrisburg; nieces and nephews, Charbelle Collins of Harrisburg, Cyndi Healy of Harrisburg, Gerta Karner and husband Terry of Roselle, Denny Partain and wife Linda of Garland, Texas, Dr. Stan Partain and wife Judy of Beuna Vista, Va.; and several great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers, Carl Partain, Raleigh Partain and J.R. Partain.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at the Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Stan Irvin will officiate. Burial will follow in Spring Valley Cemetery in Rudement. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
