Obituary: Mary E. Mears
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary E. Mears, 85, longtime New Haven resident, died peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, in Ferrell Hospital, Eldorado.
Mary was born in Omaha on Feb. 21, 1924, to the late Charles and Audria (Pearce) Satterfield. In Benton, Mo., on May 20, 1942, she married Hallas Mears, who preceded her in death.
Mary was a homemaker and her life was her family, she was a good wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed.
Mary is survived by one son, Wayne (Janet) Mears of Anna; two daughters, Lavonne (Clarence) Aldridge of Carmi and Dorothy (Donnie) Buntin of Pecks. She is also survived by one brother, Charles Satterfield of Indiana; two sisters, Ruth Thomas of Carmi and Faye Satterfield of Norris City; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents; her husband; two sons, Paul and Kenny Mears; and one grandson.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at the Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven. The Rev. Mike Fields will officiate and those attending should go directly to the cemetery. Cox and Son Funeral Home in New Haven is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Alzheimers Foundation in her memory.
