Obituary: Robert Edward 'Ed' Bradley

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Robert Edward "Ed" Bradley, 95, of Shawneetown, passed away at 11:44 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg.

He was born to Gilbert and Christina (Peters) Bradley on Aug. 10, 1916, in Equality. Ed was a retired farmer and a member of the Shawneetown Emmanuel United Methodist Church. He married Rita Casey on July 26, 1939, in Morganfield, Ky., and she preceded him in death on Oct. 20, 2008.

Ed is survived by his son, Don and Ruth Bradley of Wadsworth; granddaughter, Kim and Mike Gilboe, also of Wadsworth; grandson, Eric and Abby Bradley of Lindenhurst; four great-grandsons, Aiden and Blake Gilboe and Eli and Cal Bradley; and one sister, Barbara and Burl Deem of Colona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; son, Charles Edward Bradley; and two brothers, Gilbert Monroe Bradley and Amos Bradley.

Visitation for Ed will be held from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. The Rev. Cherrie Wilkerson will be officiating with burial at Hogan Cemetery near Shawneetown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
