Obituary: Margaret Ann Goodley

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Margaret Ann Goodley, born Margaret Ann Jackson on April 25, 1927, passed away on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at The Fountain View Nursing Home in Eldorado.

She was the daughter of Ado and Maud Jackson of Eldorado. Mrs. Goodley lived her entire life in Eldorado and is survived by two sons, Carl and Robert Baugher; a grandson, Andy Baugher; a great-grandson, Caleb Baugher; and two great-granddaughters, Avalyn and Madison Baugher.

Mrs. Goodley worked for many years as a bookkeeper for numerous local car dealerships and was a successful insurance agent for AFLAC in her later years. She raised her two sons and cared for her elderly mother in her home while working multiple jobs as a single mother. She was previously married to Kenneth Baugher (who passed away in 1992 and was the father of her two sons), as well as Charles Goodley, to whom she was married until his death in 2010.

Mrs. Goodley was a life-long member and supporter of the First United Methodist Church. She will be sorely missed by all her many friends and family and will be remembered as a hard-working, loyal member of her community who was always devoted to her family.

Funeral services will be at First United Methodist Church in Eldorado at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, with Pastor John M. Cross officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home, Eldorado. Condolences may be sent to the family via the Internet site www.colonialterracefuneralhome.com
