Obituary: Lorene Dunaway

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lorene Dunaway, 94, Winter Haven, Fla., formerly of Carrier Mills, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Consulate Health Care, Winter Haven, Fla.

She was born Oct. 28, 1917, in Carrier Mills to the late Raymond Rice and Ethel (Chase) Rice. On May 15, 1937, she married Oather Dunaway, who preceded her in death on June 15, 2003.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol (Jerry) Smith of Winter Haven, Fla. and Janis (Bill) Doughty of Springfield; four grandchildren, Timothy Smith, Duane Smith, Laurie Cates and Scott Doughty; five great-grandchildren, Joel and Rebekah Cates and Caleb, Logan and Hannah Doughty.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Carl Rice and Eldon Rice.

Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time Friday, March 16, 2012, at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with Randall Cates officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Carrier Mills.
