</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Shirley Ann Ewald, 78, Belle Rive, died 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Countryside Manor, Mount Vernon.

A funeral Mass will be said 10 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2012, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Dahlgren. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Gholson Funeral Home, Dahlgren, with a Rosary service at 7 p.m.

She was the widow of A.W. "Bud" Ewald. She is survived by three sons, a daughter, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
