Obituary: Ruth Craig
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ruth Craig, 72, of Carrier Mills, died at 12:26 p.m. Wednesday May 16, 2012, at the home of her daughter in Inglewood, Calif.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Lakeview Cemetery in Carrier Mills. There will be no visitation; all friends should gather at the cemetery. The Rev. Ownly Williams will officiate and Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on Nov. 16, 1939, in Carrier Mills to the late John Vincent and Katherine Mae (Taborn) Cole.
She graduated Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School in 1957.
She was a member of the Carrier Mills Galilee Baptist Church.
She worked for 20 years as a retail cashier at the Boys Market in Los Angeles, Calif., and later was employed for 20 years at the Saline County Clerk's office.
She is survived by two daughters, Tracie Craig-Porter of Los Angeles, Calif., and Stacie Craig of Inglewood, Calif.; three grandchildren, Erin Porter and Lezley Porter, both of Los Angeles, Calif., and Vernon Davis III of Inglewood, Calif.; five brothers, Myron Cole of Carrier Mills, Phillip "Buzzy" Cole of Inglewood, Calif., Vincent Cole, Anthony "Tony" Cole and Kirk "Pood" Cole all of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Constance Casey of Riverside, Calif., and Rachel Stewart of Fontana, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
