Obituary: Clayton 'Diz' Dean Poole
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Clayton "Diz" Dean Poole, 77, of Eldorado, passed away at 9 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, at his residence.
Clayton was born in Johnston City on June 20, 1935, a son of Leo and Bertha Poole.
He was a navigator in the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War and peace time.
He was the husband of Judy (Petty) Poole, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by six sisters, Georgia Dixon, of Minnesota, Ruth Brown of Decatur, Roberta Larkins of Sullivan, Dorothy (Kenny) Sanders of Arkansas, Jo DeVore of Sullivan, and Sue (Ivan) Moon of Bethany; a brother, Bishop (Doris) Poole of Germany; a special niece and nephew, Roy and Darlene DeVore of Sullivan; and several other nieces and nephews.
As per his wishes, he was cremated and a memorial graveside service will be held in Bethany at a later date.
Arrangements are in the charge of Colonial Terrace Funeral Home, Eldorado.
