Clarence E. Juncker
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Clarence E. "Bud" Juncker, 85, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at Deaconess Hospital, born June 21, 1923, in Posey County, Ind., son of the late William P. and Anna K. (Spath) Juncker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nellie Rae (Hazlett) Juncker, July 2, 2008, after 62 years of marriage; his son, Mark Juncker, Aug. 23, 2007; his three sisters, Elnora Schmitz, April 7, 2007, Edna Kunze, June 12, 1994, and Selma Willman, June 30, 1982; and his brother Morris Juncker, June 1951.
Bud was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a charter member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was an original brother of Juncker Brothers Sales and Service in Mt. Vernon. He had traveled to all 50 states and abroad and also enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of American Legion Owen Dunn Post No. 5, Two Rivers Camp Club, Mid-West Square Dancers, First United Methodist Church and had attended the Beach United Methodist Church in Fort Meyers, Fla.
Bud is survived by his three children, Jane (Jeff) Saltzman of Mt. Vernon, Ind., Linda (Fred) Sammet of Evansville, Ind., and Tony (Donna) Juncker of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; his five grandchildren, Misti (Rob) Taylor, Nicole (James) Ford, Bryan Sammet, Jacob (Chandra) Juncker and Suzanne Juncker; his three great-grandchildren, Arium Pollock, Jaydon and Mackenzie Taylor. He is also survived by his five sisters, Esther Wolf and Bertha Hartman, both of Mt. Vernon, Ind., Delta Wimpelberg of Evansville, Ind., Viola (Bill) Meredith of Owensboro, Ky., and Carolyn (Delton) Krietenstein of Phoenix, Ariz.; and his brothers, Leonard (Dorothy) Juncker and Lloyd (Mildred) Juncker, both of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at Schneider Funeral Home 512 Main Street in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Tom Heaton and the Rev. Tom Buffington officiating and burial at Bellefontaine Cemetery with military rites provided by American Legion Post No. 5 Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, and from 9 to 11 a.m. service time Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church or Chapter No. 36 Posey County Disabled American Veterans.
