TRACK & FIELD: PCHS's Sophie Keith signs with Eastern Illinois

On Monday, Pinckneyville Community High School senior Sophie Keith signed a letter of intent to attend and participate in track and field at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.

Keith placed fourth in Class A at the State Finals earlier this year in the 400-meter dash after placing fifth in the same event in 2014, and seventh in 2013. She has been an All-Conference, All-South, and All-State selection in all three of her track and field seasons at PCHS, in addition to earning All-Conference and All-South honors all four seasons of cross country. Keith is also an accomplished volleyball and basketball player for the Lady Panthers, getting named to one All-Conference team for both.
