Aaron Leroy Murphy III
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Aaron Leroy Murphy III, 87, Melbourne, Fla., died Jan. 19, 2010, at Holmes Hospital, Melbourne, Fla.
He was born July 1, 1922, to Essie and Aaron Murphy II in Ridgway and was a devoted father of Carol (Kenneth) Girod, David Murphy and Martin Murphy; grandfather to Lisa, Michael (deceased), Lindsey Girod and Amy Murphy.
Aaron entered the U.S. Navy in 1942. During his tour of duty he earned the following awards and medals -- Good Conduct, Victory Medal, 36 Point America Area, Asiatic Pacific 2 Star and rank of Aviation Machinist AMM First Class.
After graduating from Fenn College of Engineering, he began his work career as a die casting salesperson in Ohio and South Carolina. He became very successful in that business, later owning his own company, Die Casting Inc. He was a charter member of die casting engineering for 25 years.
Cremation was at Maxwell Funeral Home, Melbourne, Fla. Graveside services and military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2010, at Oak Grove Cemetery, Eldorado, with the Rev. Walter Baker officiating. Interment will be next to his parents. Watson Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
