OBITUARY: Sybil R. Hipes Knight

Sybil R. Hipes Knight, age 92, of Harrisburg, went to be with God at 3:50 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at Saline Care Center in Harrisburg.

Sybil was born Sept. 2, 1919, in Kewanee, Mo., to the late Harvey L. and Mattie (Brasher) Sizemore. On Sept. 24, 1937, she married Howard G. Hipes and he preceded her in death May 16, 1956. She married Joseph W. Knight Sept. 2, 1961, and he preceded her in death Dec. 1, 2010.

Sybil is survived by one daughter, Christine Lee Dolezal; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

She will be greatly missed by her family and her life-long friends; Linda and Kenneth Butler, Carroll Lynn and Betty Morris.

Sybil was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one son, one daughter, five sisters, one brother, one grandson and one granddaughter.
