Obituary: Elsie Pearl Keown

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Elsie Pearl Keown, 69, of 2502 Jones St., Eldorado, died Aug. 11, 2011 at Ferrell hospital in Eldorado.

She was born on Oct. 2, 1941, in Eldorado to the late Leonard and Lucille (Evans) Sallions. She was a homemaker. She married Tommy Keown on Oct. 10, 1960, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 2002.

Surviving are two sons, James (Jeannie) Keown of Wasson and Tommy Keown of Equality; four grandchildren, Brooklyn Keown, Tara Keown, Brandon Keown and Holden Keown; four great-grandchildren, Gavin and Chloe Payne and Dawson and Kara Keown; and two brothers, Leroy Sallions of Pensacola, Fla. and Kenny Ray Barker of Marion. Also surviving are three sisters, Dorothy Trustee, Thelma Duncan of Dixon and Fernetta Watson of Harrisburg.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Pearl Keown; two brothers, Dewayne and Ralph Sallions; and a sister, Faye Long.

Funeral services for Pearl will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at the Watson Funeral Home, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday Aug. 15, 2011, at the funeral home.
