OBITUARY: Hazel Sue Moore

Hazel Sue Moore, 70, of Harrisburg passed away at 12:09 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at her residence.

She was born on Oct. 26, 1942, in Raleigh to the late Walter and Emma (Tindle) Smith. On June 16, 1962, she married Thomas M. Moore and he survives. Hazel formerly worked at South Suburban Hospital in Hazelcrest as a housekeeper and linen supervisor. She was a member of the Day Star Chapel Church in Harrisburg.

Surviving family members include her husband, Thomas Moore, Harrisburg; daughter, Kimberly (Ronald) Trusty of Christopher; son, Thomas Moore of Hammond, Ind.; brother, Thomas (Audrey) Smith of Munster, Ind.; grandchildren, Shannon Dahlman, Tiffany Van Eynde, Heather Kunz, Zachary Vallow, Thomas Moore, Jr., Jesse Moore, Jenna Moore and Marissa Moore; great-grandchildren, Russell Dahlman, Robert Dahlman, Emma Dahlman, Hunter Van Eynde, and Madelyn Van Eynde.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Harry Smith, Glen Smith, William Smith, and Robert Smith; three sisters, Lola Foster, Catherine Hawkins and Melba Tucker.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Deborah Hill will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
