Wiley Earin Riden Jr.

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Wiley Earin Riden Jr. passed away on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, at the age of 60, with his family present. As Wiley passed from this earth, which had offered him little peace, his spirit entered into what is beyond our comprehension, where he will have the everlasting peace that he could never find here.

Wiley was born on Sept. 28, 1948, to Wiley Earin Riden Sr. and Ina Mildred (Lane) Riden. Wiley (Jr. to his family and friends) graduated Harrisburg High School in 1966. Wiley moved from Harrisburg to Kankakee, then shortly thereafter volunteered for the Marines and served our country for two years during the Vietnam War.

Upon return from the war, Wiley moved back to Kankakee where he worked for General Foods for a number of years. He married Margaret Ann (Peggy) Mulvey in 1977. In 1979, he and his family moved back "home" to Harrisburg where Wiley continued to live for over the last 30 years. Wiley and Peggy had two children, Shauna Lynn Riden and Vanessa Leigh Riden-Starling.

Wiley enjoyed riding his motorcycle, tooling around in his Dodge Viper, fishing and spending many quiet evenings in his backyard, enjoying the private haven he had created.

Wiley was preceded in death by his father, Wiley Earin Riden Sr.

Wiley is survived by his children, Shauna Lynn Riden and Vanessa Leigh Riden-Starling (Alem Starling); three grandchildren, Taylor Nicole Riden, Tyler Hunter Lynn and Ayanna Sosanna (Sossy) Starling; his mother, Ina; one brother, Michael (Alayna) Riden; four sisters, Karen (Mike) Davis, Deborah (Bob) Wilson, Joan (Matthew) Hancock and Kathy (Kevin) Reimer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Wiley loved animals, and to that effect, he is survived by his roommates, Cat, Cat and Cat, who will miss him greatly.

Wiley was a very private person and in accordance with his wishes, his services will be private.
